A horizontal composition featuring two knights on the far left, one kneeling, arms stretched out, hands cupped. Three angels stand in the middle of a landscape, two holding candles, the third holding a plate and a lance. Sir Galahad is to the right, kneeling before an open door to a chapel, where the Holy Grail rests on an altar, as three additional angels kneel on the far right, facing left.
