Dreamers is a decorative work creating harmonies of pattern, tone and colour. The same model is depicted three times, the facial features are generalised to avoid individuality distracting from the visual sensation of the picture. The three women are as much part of the pattern as the trellis behind them or the fabric on the sofa.
